SARS advices employers to submit their 6 month PAYE, SDL and UIF reconciliation for the period 01 March 2014 to 31 August 2014 sooner, rather than later. This will allow time to resolve any problems before the deadline.

The South African Revenue Service (SARS) expects to increase their revenue collection during the 2014 to 2015 tax season by 10.4% from R899.8 billion collected last year to R993.6 billion. In order to achieve this, SARS intends to pay particular attention this season to medical aid claims, retirement fund contributions, income protection policy contributions and taxpayers who submit revised returns for previous years.
